The Treefort Recording Studio is located in a quiet two-story building overlooking Topanga Canyon State Park, California. The main control room, foley stage, and one large acoustic room are on the upper floor, (Studio A), and a huge, all-wood and glass drum room and a third acoustic room are downstairs (Studio B). The upper studios house a Baby Grand piano and Hammond organ. There is also a separate, smaller, Studio C building on the property, and full living accommodations are available on-site for up to six guests.

Award-winning recordings in a wide range of genres including Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Jazz have brought studio owner, Chris Julian dozens of Gold and Platinum records, a personal 2006 Emmy Award, and his esteemed clients 4 Grammy Nominations. The studio vibe is private, warm, and creative, yet quite high-tech with it's many large, state of the art Pro Tools HD3 ACCEL systems and comprehensive Sound Effects, Orchestral, and loop and sample libraries.

A complete recording facility which includes a full complement of instruments, the layout is ideal for recording bands, live drums, vocals, acoustic instruments, and electronic music. An array of computers and video monitors also make the site perfect for film post production sound (www.SeismicFX.com), including recording, mixing, and editing. One studio is set up for foley recording (www.SeismicFX/studio/stage), including a complete set of props, surfaces, and pits (see bottom of the page at the foley link above).

The Treefort also provides a perfect situation for out-of-town musicians traveling to Los Angeles for their recording, as they may make arrangements to stay in the studio's comfortable guest accommodations. Both levels have full kitchens and bathrooms, there is a steam room on the premises, and a 270 degree deck wraps around the duplex with woods, a stream, and a waterfall in sight.

Owned and operated solely by engineer/producer Chris Julian, the studio is oriented towards personal service. Also a composer/singer-songwriter and an accomplished instrumentalist on guitar, bass, and keys, Chris' writing and hands-on producing are focused on modern Rock, AAA, and R&B arrangements which combine live drums and loops and samples with cutting edge, rock/pop instrumentation. His arranging capabilities are an asset to any project, and also make recording in Chris' facility uniquely right for singer-songwriters seeking a collaborator who can single-handedly complete their musical picture.
